Launching Cape May Wealth Weekly
A newsletter about family offices, alternative investments, and more.
Dear Reader,
You might already know me from LinkedIn, from one of our interactions in Berlin, or elsewhere. For those not yet familiar - let me give you an introduction.
My name is Jan and I am the founder and Managing Director of Cape May Wealth. I grew up in southern Germany, went to university there as well as in the US, and began my professional career in Goldman Sachs’ Private Wealth Management Division. From there, I made my way to Berlin into the family office space.
I founded Cape May Wealth in May 2023 to address a major challenge in the wealth management industry: The next generation of affluent individuals, especially those coming from tech ecosystems like that in San Francisco, London or Berlin, is deeply dissatisfied with the advisory offering that they receive from private banks, asset managers, and other relevant advisors. While the product offering has become more and more “democratized” over the recent years, high-quality information is still hard to come by. The best source of information continue to be the product providers themselves - who of course, are biased in their thinking, and often very focus on their own asset class alone.
Cape May Wealth aspires to be different. We want to be a leading media and advisory business providing investors with the highest-quality information on the world of investing, ranging from basics such as building your own investing framework to complex topics such as the math behind asset classes such as private equity. From our point of view, the wealth management industry can only benefit from better sources of information and education - whether to help investors avoid costly mistake, or to introduce them to new investment opportunities that best fit their investing goals.
I hope that my written words will be insightful to you. I guarantee that I’ll do my best to provide you with qualified, analytical views of topics covering wealth management, family offices, alternative investments, and more. You can subscribe here:
